The characteristic “striped” is coded for by the recessive allele a. Petei ('1', see above) has a plain coat because he is homozygous for the dominant allele. Moko ('2'), heterozygous for the coat allele, asks her first question: “What is the chance of having striped offspring if I choose to reproduce with Petei ?” Work out your cross on paper and give an answer to that question expressed in a percentage.
