The colour of the coat is regulated by three different alleles. The first one is allele k, which codes for a purple coat. The colours orange and white are coded for by respectively alleles K0 and Kw. These alleles dominate the k-allele, but work together to produce an intermediate phenotype. Secunda shows this phenotype and is light orange.
